Caution to the wind

They always told us to walk and never run
They just wanted to stop us having fun
They told us never to play out in the street
They always told us it's time to go to sleep

They told us it was serious, we laughed
They told us to calm down and we were daft
They told us to behave, we simply grinned
We always threw caution to the wind

We always threw caution to the wind
Who cares if we're told that we have sinned
None of that matters any more
It's not as though we're gonna break the law

Now summer's here, the days are long
We've got a good thing going on
And though our memories have dimmed
We still throw caution to the wind
