Blessing in disguise

It's like the time I lost my mind
It's like the time I couldn't find my way
All along you were there to find
And I led myself astray

I was so scared that things could end
I didn't see what the future could well bring
Taking my leave of my closest friend
And going out on a wing

Now you're here for me
I see it in your eyes
And every disaster
Was a blessing in disguise

It's when the walls come crashing down
That you find out the world's a bigger place
When you're so tired you think you'll drown
You learn at your own pace

Time goes on and nights grow cold
Life gets warmer, much to your surprise
With any luck when you get old
You'll end up wise
